Hey guys,

we're planning on releasing a new version pretty soon. This version will address bugs and balance issues and possibly add an autobalancing feature to help when you have leavers.

We also plan to do the following:
- reducing income
- reworking some of the items (especially agility items)
- add some hero balance changes
- removing/reworking domination rule

Any other requests or burning issues that you absolutely want solved?

Also sign up here if you aren't a beta tester and want to be. Preferably those in clan PE.

I got wc3 working again so I'm interested. I broke my nose on tuesday so I can't guarantee good attendance, but hit me up if you see me on AIM.

Why?

Didn't you already reduce it once? (If you didn't....) I think one of the great things about b2.5 was that it didn't take nearly as long as dota to finish, and part of that was due to the fairly fast income. So lowering it, in addition to making the mini bosses Nigh-impossible to kill early/mid game would make personas a LOT slower...

No, b3's income is fast.

Gold earned by sitting around has relatively little to do with how long the game takes.

Well I would have to disagree with you on that, because gold that you get from doing nothing is just as important to gold that you get from creeping. It still lets you buy the same things, just faster.

If you aren't going to increase income, at least keep it the same PLEASE!

You can get huge items way too fast in the current version. Which allows damage to spiral out of control.

Trust me, items don't speed up the game, they just make it more chaotic. We're not having this conversation.

we -can- provide an option for extra gold but the default game mode will not have as much income.

there's a huge reason for this: items are running the game as it is. certain heroes just become useless whereas others become overpowered. this is the same balance issue that dota faces. it also makes the fights go from interesting and competitive (around level 8 ) to stupid, fast, and idiotic (level 15 with moonblade).

anyone else want to chime in with their thoughts?

We can just have a double-gold -em mode the way DotA does.

yes i do believe items can make some heros DOMINATE badly. Such as BGH with moonblade, mask of lunatic, cant remeber name of other one but its the one that increases attack speed and movement speed, and the boomstick. Use his Ulti so thats an extra almost 200% increased attack speed with items and it. The add in crit of around 550 every .25 seconds and he OWNS! then on top of THAT the defense drop because of moonblade. Yeah i think reducing income and just adding a mode for double income would solve the problem.

And sometimes, people wonder why there are int heroes...

Don't think BGH is dominating so easily ; I'd rather say it's one of the easiest hero to play, but eyh, get some int heroes with nice pressuring (who said Warlorck ?), and you will pwn him. BGH is only an issue if you don't manage to gank him once or twice in the beginning and if he does some farming. Even with all agility items, he still doesn't have a lot of hp.

About the income, heck, I don't know. I'm not very good at game balancing when it's about gold or items

With all the gold he has, he can easily buy a Spell Guard / BF's Heart and as much hp as necessary. Besides, Warlock is a butthole.

Yes, more modes would be the perfect solution. Also, can you make some reward for randoming?
