Bug with skill

Hi all, sorry for my bad english but i thinks you'll understand what i write

A friend ask me for host this game, and i really like this map, but when i played i had found a 'bug'
i had play with Big Game Hunter and Shadow Archer, when the grove guardian cast entangling roots on me and when i swap hero, entangling roots disapear
this is a lot unbalanced for some skill because heroes can avoid some skills...
