Testers needed for b3

It's never too early to start thinking about b3, and we're going to want to test it extensively to make sure it doesn't have bugs like the early b2 versions had.

Please sign up in this thread if you want to test. List your battlenet name, whether or not I know you, and anything else you think is relevant.

There will not be an official list of testers for a while yet. Rather, when we have early b3 versions out, I will check this list to find people to ask to help test, and those who are online and able to help often will become the "testing corps." At least that's how I expect things to go.

Remember, please do not discuss changes (even if WE do. The reason isn't secrecy so much as the fact that we might change our minds, thereby disillusioning all the people you told) and DO NOT rehost b3 versions.

Oooh, this feel like signing up for a closed beta test! I haven't done any testing since a little stint in clan EotA when I tested about 5 versions v1.11. Ahh well, consider this an application to the list of (hopeful) testees for this great game.

Depends on which timezone, but that should work for me.

All times I say are Eastern unless otherwise stated.

A few reminders...

1. Just because you signed up doesn't mean I will necessarily ask for your help for any given testing session. Remember, among other things, that there is an absolute maximum of 10 people per game, and there will only be one test game at a time. Also, we will probably do most of the early testing with RL friends and family, but the sign up is here in case we do need / want more right away. As we get closer to release, more of you will be invited to help.

This means that you shouldn't cancel any plans to be online this Saturday, unless you think it's worth the chance. Maybe it is, who knows...

2. Remember not to re-host the test map. It's not an official version and we don't want it spreading. This means don't share it with your friends, either. If they want to see it, they can sign up too. You can, of course, host it in SINGLE PLAYER and show a real-life friend on your computer screen. No other exceptions.

3. Anything in these versions is subject to change, so it would probably be best not to go around telling everybody how awesome XYZ is only to find out that we took out XYZ. This will be more embarrassing for you than for us.

4. If I am forced to cancel a scheduled testing session, I will try to give some notice so you aren't sitting around wondering what happened. "Notice" means a post on the forums. If you don't see a post, assume your help isn't needed for that particular session. I will try to keep you all informed about how likely it is you'll be needed for a given session (see #1).

In regards to Saturday at midnight, I can totally can do that. I don't really make plans, and hey, 8PM -7AM is my active time! (I am not a vampire) >.>

I would be glad to help with testing and anything else i can (i also have a hostbot if you want to use it (GHost++)

I'm going to have to cancel the Saturday midnight testing. I'm on an unusual sleep schedule and it's highly unlikely that I will be awake. There may be some testing tomorrow afternoon, but I'd say that's also unlikely. Sorry.

Actually, I'd like to start testing on this as soon as possible. If not tonight, then tomorrow night. If you are available, just chill out in Clan pSa around 10 pm tonight or 9 pm tomorrow night - US East, Eastern time.

I don't mind testing anytime I'm online and you have my aim if I'm not.

Yeah, tentatively though.

I don't know if it's too late but I'd like to join for the Test.
