so i'm pretty frustrated with the way XP works in the game right now -- as you know. I was thinking about the following options:

-- make XP truly global by turning it off, and making hero gain range extremely large. that means every xp kill will be shared;
:: advantages: helps newer players that fall behind stay in level with the rest of the people out there; we dont have level 8's (CooZa) vs level 14's (Bengal)
:: disadvantage: not very strategic, and also decreases the skill gap significantly

-- make a "at least this much level" system
:: basically we run a trigger that expires every so often and makes sure every hero is at a certain experience level; we just set theirs accordingly if it isnt

Overall though, as it stands, I think we should turn off global xp in general. It's skewing the game in epic proportions right now!

make two different modes you can enter in the beginning....
i think it would be possible.....
make one have long exp range
and other have short exp range...
not sure if that is possible.. id have to sift through the triggers

i think u should just have modes but if u dont want that you should just leave it. Short range exp gain makes the game more strategic "should i go heal/get items or should i stay. this makes the game more fun and more anoying for others Smile

You could remove level/stat gain completely and simply give stats and a skill point every time so many creeps are killed?
